Job Description

About us Starnes Collision Center has been a family owned and operated community business since 1964, and we are looking for the right candidate to join our family in Charlotte, NC. We pride ourselves with treating customers as family and our repairs are always based on safety. We are an OEM collision repair facility that believes in following manufacturer guidelines for a safe and proper repair. We are currently seeking Auto Body Technicians who have a strong background in auto repair. We're looking for professionals who are skilled at working with both personal and commercial vehicles and who have experience in collision repair and frame repair. A successful candidate will be equipped to work without supervision, effectively communicate with management and use tact when informing them of the progress of the vehicle.
Responsibilities:
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy. Communicates with Parts Department and Estimating to obtain the needed parts. Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Perform welding, soldering, body alignment, and oxidizing operations. Operate all equipment in collision center in a safe manner. Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner. Documents all work performed for the duration of the job and a soon as the job is completed. Uses basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing chemicals. Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. At least five years automotive experience. Must have a valid driver's license. I-CAR Certification is a plus.

$55,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
