We are seeking an enthusiastic Architect / Designer who thrives in a team-focused working environment to join our growing office in Richmond, VA. Wendel is looking for a candidate that is enthusiastic to learn and grow, is flexible and has a passion for design. The candidate will receive direct training with a gradual onboarding of responsibilities, working closely with the current managers.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Plan, design, and manage construction documents for projects. Coordinate construction documents with engineers and other consultants. Collaborate with Project Leads, Designers, and other team members. Lead a small team with oversight from Project Architect Maintain architectural standards, templates, and workflows across various project types. Assists in the layout of preliminary site plans, puts together presentation drawings for clients, and updates existing drawings in our portfolio. Review and revise concept plans with clients. Mentor and train younger staff through collaboration on project work
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate has a minimum 4- or 5-year degree in Architecture. 6-14 years of working experience in a design firm with Revit, with project experience working in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft. Keen attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with building codes and regulations Must have excellent communication skills and be a team player. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Willingness to work on multiple types of project types and markets. Please attach your portfolio when applying.

Mentorship Program Salary Range:
$78,000 - $108,000 Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The salary offered will be determined based the successful candidates' relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
