An Architect plans and designs buildings and other structures. Drafts drawings and blueprints, uses computer software, and oversees the construction process for a building or structure. Works with clients to create designs that are functional and aesthetically appealing.
Lead all phases of the design process with a high degree of expertise, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, project objectives, design excellence, project delivery, and sustainable design principles. Evaluate and address the technical impacts of design decisions while balancing project requirements, constructability, and financial objectives. Direct and contribute to the development of project documentation, including the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and other deliverables. Manage and oversee quality control reviews throughout all project phases, ensuring compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, and design intent, with emphasis on accuracy, completeness, clarity, and constructability. Coordinate project efforts across internal disciplines, including architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture, while facilitating collaboration with external consultants and stakeholders. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on technical project matters, providing clear communication and effective problem resolution. Lead regulatory compliance reviews, including building codes, accessibility standards, and zoning requirements, and manage interactions and submissions to governing authorities. Ensure efficient execution of construction administration services, supporting project teams in addressing field conditions, documentation, and contractor coordination. Stay informed of emerging building technologies, industry trends, and engineering systems to enhance project performance and delivery. Foster a collaborative team environment through strong leadership, effective communication, sound decision-making, and proactive problem-solving. Mentor and develop team members by providing guidance, oversight, and support for project assignments and professional growth.
REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of professional experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture or related discipline required Architectural license Strong knowledge of local Building, zoning, energy and zoning codes Excellent communication skills, including experience of presenting and coordinating projects through all phases to client and consultant teams Experience in delivering full construction documentation packages Project management and/or team leadership experience through all phases Strong Revit skills, BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu, Rhino, Enscape Adobe Creative Cloud including presentation skills such as InDesign and Photoshop
