This role requires hands-on field experience, strong awareness of safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced outdoor environment. Key Responsibilities Asphalt preparation — Assist with site prep, including grading, cleaning, and setting forms. Material handling — Load, unload, and distribute asphalt and related materials. Equipment support — Operate or assist with rollers, pavers, compactors, and hand tools. Surface finishing — Rake, lute, and smooth asphalt to proper grade and finish. Safety compliance — Follow all company, DOT, and OSHA safety standards. Team coordination — Work closely with crew members to ensure efficient project flow. Site cleanup — Maintain a clean and organized work area. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 + years experience in asphalt paving or road construction. Ability to operate asphalt tools and equipment. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Ability to work long hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends. Strong understanding of job‑site safety procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly. Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, and inclement weather. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods. Ability to work in high‑traffic or high‑noise environments. Preferred Experience Experience with commercial or residential paving projects. Familiarity with asphalt grades, compaction standards, and surface tolerances. CDL or equipment‑operation certifications. Work Environment Outdoor construction sites Exposure to heavy machinery, traffic, and varying weather conditions Fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
