Job Description
About the Role C & L Asphalt Patching LLC is looking for a hands-on Asphalt Paver who also holds a valid CDL to drive our trucks and haul equipment between job sites. This is a dual-role position for someone comfortable both working on the crew laying and patching asphalt and safely operating a commercial truck to load, transport, and unload paving equipment and materials. If you take pride in quality paving work and know your way around a truck and trailer, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Perform asphalt paving, patching, and repair work on roads, parking lots, and driveways as part of a crew. Operate and safely drive a commercial truck to transport asphalt equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites. Load and unload heavy equipment (rollers, pavers, skid steers, etc.) using ramps, trailers, and proper rigging/tie-down procedures. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues. Assist with grading, raking, and compacting asphalt surfaces to meet project specifications. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies while driving and on the job site. Maintain accurate logs, delivery paperwork, and basic vehicle maintenance records. Work collaboratively with the paving crew and foreman to keep projects on schedule. Requirements Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. Prior experience in asphalt paving, road construction, or a related field preferred. Experience safely loading/unloading and transporting heavy equipment. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Comfortable with early start times and physically demanding, hands-on work. Strong safety mindset and reliable attendance. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
