Heavy Equipment Operator Rutherford Diversified Industries, Inc. (RDI) is a General Engineering Contractor specializing in underground utilities, substrate preparation, fiber optic telecommunications and electrical construction, repair, and demolition. RDI is currently seeking a professional and skilled heavy equipment operator to fill a full-time position at our main location in Sierra Vista, AZ. The qualified candidate will be available for travel to job sites located in numerous areas throughout the state of Arizona.

Candidates are required to:

Have a valid driver license and obtain a current 5-year driving record Have reliable transportation to and from the work site Pass a pre-employment drug screen Speak and read English Work in multiple types of weather conditions Withstand physical demand, including but not limited to kneeling, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting, working in confined areas, etc. Work overtime as needed (not guaranteed) Operator Qualifications Two years or more of operating experience on multiple types of equipment Working knowledge of grades, slopes, staking and reading of basic plans Ability to follow directions and work on your own Operator Duties and Responsibilities Follow all safety and environmental regulations Operation, inspection, and maintenance of heavy equipment, i.e., backhoe, excavator, loader, dozer, skid steer, roller, and compactor, etc. Prep construction site areas Load/unload materials Dirt work, including excavation, backfilling, and compacting Moving materials or temporary structures All other operating work as required to complete jobs

Salary:
