We strive to maintain quality workmanship and provide a safe work environment for our employees and the general public. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to manage our Milling and Paving Crew. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' experience running a crew, and has previous milling and paving experience, whether it be operating equipment or laboring. They have a thorough understanding of best practices and safety procedures as it relates to paving. Responsibilities Organizes, schedules and supervises the Paving crew. Ensures that workers, including subcontractors, are performing tasks correctly and promptly. Ensures that the worksite is safe and clean, and that all workers follow safety rules. Conducts a daily toolbox talk regarding relevant safety practices. Ensures that the job meets specifications and quality standards. Operates heavy equipment such as milling and paving machines as needed. Takes direction from the Field Superintendent. Communicates with Project Managers, Engineers, and Superintendents about progress and any issues onsite. Reviews construction plans and specifications to maintain accuracy and quality of work. Monitors crew members' attendance and fills out timesheet daily. Responsible for submitting all project-related paperwork at the end of every shift. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience & Education 5+ years' experience working in construction Prior paving/milling experience Prior Supervisory experience Highschool Diploma or G.E.D Equivalent OSHA 10 and any relevant training certifications Valid Driver's license (CDL Class A or B preferred) Required Skills Proven leadership ability Ability to coach and motivate others Good time management skills Good written and verbal communication skills Team-player Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Safety-conscious Detail-oriented Ability to work in all weather conditions Working Conditions The physical work environment is outdoors, at various job sites. Physical demands of the position include standing for long periods of time, traversing long distances, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, working in adverse weather conditions.
