Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as an Asphalt Paving Laborer and play a vital role in creating smooth, durable roadways for construction projects. In this energetic role, you will assist with asphalt paving operations, heavy equipment handling, and site preparation to ensure high-quality results on civil infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Assist with asphalt paving activities, including spreading, leveling, and compaction of asphalt materials by rake and machine Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks to support paving operations Handle manual tasks using hand tools and power tools to prepare and maintain the work site Perform traffic control duties for work zones to ensure safety for workers and motorists Conduct routine inspections of equipment like dump trucks and Caterpillar machinery, ensuring proper mechanical function Follow safety protocols in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and company policies Support highway maintenance efforts by performing heavy lifting, material handling, and site cleanup as needed Requirements Prior experience in construction or roadwork environments is highly preferred Ability to operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, and trucks with mechanical knowledge of their functions Knowledge of traffic control procedures for work zones and adherence to safety standards Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout the workday Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, welding, and general construction site practices Valid commercial truck driving license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain if necessary Understanding of FMCSA regulations related to commercial vehicle operation is advantageous Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is required Strong teamwork skills with a focus on safety protocol adherence in a civil infrastructure setting Join us in building safer roads and supporting 's infrastructure growth! Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
