Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Asphalt Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the successful execution of asphalt paving and maintenance projects, ensuring high-quality results on various civil infrastructure and highway maintenance sites. Your energy, attention to detail, and safety awareness will contribute to smooth operations on our busy construction projects. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and setup of asphalt paving sites, including site clearing and material handling Support paving operations by spreading asphalt using appropriate machinery and tools Perform manual handling tasks including lifting, shoveling, and positioning materials safely and efficiently Maintain safety protocols Support highway maintenance activities by performing routine inspections, repairs, and clean-up tasks on construction sites Assist with the operation of dump trucks and other machinery involved in transporting materials around the site Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining a safe work environment Able to tolerate the FL sun

BE PUNCTUAL

Requirements Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, and front loader truck operation is a plus Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout the workday Familiarity with paving techniques and asphalt installation processes Experience working on construction projects or similar environments preferred Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
