$24.00-$26.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Position Summary Performance Personnel Services (PPS) is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Operator to support roadway, highway, commercial, and municipal paving projects. The ideal candidate will have experience operating asphalt paving equipment and working with paving crews to produce smooth, high-quality asphalt surfaces that meet project specifications. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate asphalt paving equipment safely and efficiently. Control paving speed and material flow to produce a uniform asphalt mat. Coordinate with dump truck drivers, screed operators, and roller operators. Monitor asphalt thickness, consistency, and paving quality. Perform daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance. Identify equipment malfunctions and report repairs. Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleanup of paving operations. Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures. Maintain productivity while meeting project schedules. Qualifications Minimum 2-5 years of asphalt paving experience. Experience operating asphalt pavers (LeeBoy, Roadtec, Volvo, Caterpillar, or similar). Understanding of asphalt placement and paving techniques. Ability to work as part of a paving crew. Experience on DOT, highway, roadway, or commercial paving projects preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. CDL preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds. Work in hot weather around asphalt and heavy equipment. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb frequently.
