A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

We are currently hiring for a Legal Assistant for our Pensacola location. This individual will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: Managing attorney's calendars. Scheduling. Preparing legal documents. Coordinating meetings, depositions, and mediations. Assisting in case analysis meeting all applicable deadlines. Electronic filing of legal documents in both Federal and State Courts. Summarizing medical and billing records. Summarizing depositions and managing cases from inception to completion.
Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Exceptional organizational skills. Proficient computer skills. Be able to work independently, and have the ability to multi-task with time-sensitive work. Be proactive and highly professional with a positive attitude. The ability to work exceptionally well with clients and staff. Legal experience of 3+ years is required. Insurance defense experience is preferred.
