In this position, you will operate a motor grader to perform fine grading, road building, site development, and final grade work while maintaining proper elevations, slopes, and drainage. The ideal candidate has experience operating motor graders in civil construction environments and is comfortable working from grade stakes, plans, and GPS machine control systems. Duties Operate a motor grader to perform rough and fine grading for roads, building pads, parking lots, and other civil construction projects. Establish and maintain proper grade, elevation, slope, and drainage according to project plans and specifications. Operate graders equipped with GPS machine control systems and work from grade stakes and project plans. Perform daily equipment inspections and identify maintenance or mechanical issues before operation. Maintain haul roads, access roads, subgrade, base material, and finished surfaces to required tolerances. Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures, including proper PPE and safe equipment operation. Coordinate with foremen, survey crews, laborers, and other equipment operators to maintain production and project schedules. Maintain a clean machine and complete required equipment inspection and usage documentation. Qualifications Proven experience operating a motor grader on civil construction projects. Strong experience with rough grading and precision/fine grading. Experience operating CAT motor graders preferred. Experience with GPS machine control strongly preferred. Ability to read and understand grade stakes, elevations, slopes, construction plans, and site layouts. Strong understanding of grading techniques, drainage, subgrade preparation, and road construction. Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and recognize basic maintenance or mechanical issues. Strong commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and productivity. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, survey crews, and other members of the field team.
