Vertical Earth is seeking an experienced Paving Foreman to lead asphalt paving operations on roadway, commercial, and site development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt paving, crew leadership, and safely delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced construction environment. Position Summary The Paving Foreman is responsible for supervising paving crews, coordinating daily operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining production goals while promoting a safe work environment. This role works closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field personnel to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications. Responsibilities Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews on a daily basis Coordinate manpower, equipment, trucking, and materials to maximize production Ensure paving activities are completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies Monitor crew performance and provide training, coaching, and direction Coordinate with survey, grading, trucking, and project management teams Perform layout and grade checks as needed Track daily production and communicate project progress to management Identify and resolve jobsite issues that impact schedule, safety, or productivity Ensure proper maintenance and care of equipment assigned to the crew Qualifications Minimum 5 years of asphalt paving experience Minimum 2 years of supervisory or foreman experience Strong knowledge of asphalt paving operations, procedures, and equipment Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and grade information Experience coordinating paving crews, trucking, and subcontractors Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Commitment to safety, quality, and production goals Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Preferred Qualifications DOT roadway paving experience Experience with highway, municipal, airport, or large commercial paving projects OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience operating paving equipment when needed Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary We are a drug free workplace and equal opportunity employer
