Overview Looking for a Backhoe Operator with CDL to join our local construction company. In this role you will operate heavy construction machinery, including backhoes, mini excavators, skidsteers, and trucks, to perform excavation, grading, utility line installation, and general site preparation activities. Responsibilities Operate backhoes, mini excavators, skidsteers, and trucks to perform excavation, grading, utility line installation, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery to ensure safety and performance. Utilize utility locating techniques to accurately identify underground utilities before excavation begins. Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with construction site setup, including site layout and grading to meet project specifications. Coordinate with team members to execute work efficiently while adhering to project timelines. Maintain detailed time and equipment use records for billing purposes. Requirements Valid CDL with clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks is essential. Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as backhoes, mini excavators, and skidsteers. Strong mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of construction machinery. Construction site experience with knowledge of excavation, grading, utility installation, and general construction practices is preferred. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members. Ability to receive and follow instructions and work independently. Pay DOE.

Pay:

$28.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
