In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting materials across construction sites, supporting excavation, grading, paving, and utility work. Your expertise in operating dump trucks and other heavy machinery will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule. Duties Safely operate dump trucks to transport soil, gravel, debris, and other construction materials across various job sites. Assist with construction utility work by delivering materials precisely where needed for excavation, grading, or paving operations. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on dump trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Support heavy equipment operation by coordinating with loaders, excavators, dozers, backhoes, graders, water trucks, tankers, and other machinery to facilitate smooth workflow. Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment. Assist with site preparation activities such as excavation and grading when necessary, adhering to project specifications. Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including load counts, fuel usage, and maintenance logs. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving and heavy equipment operation within construction environments. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting basic issues with dump trucks and related machinery. Skilled in construction utility locating and understanding of construction site layouts. Ability to operate loaders, excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, backhoes, graders, water trucks, tankers, and paving equipment confidently. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to all safety regulations on-site. Excellent understanding of construction grading techniques and excavation processes. Demonstrated ability to perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
