This position with the Duininck Paving team offers the opportunity to operate screed equipment to produce smooth, accurate asphalt surfaces while working closely with a skilled paving crew.
The Role:
Safely operate the screed to level asphalt or concrete to the specified depth, grade, and surface quality. Read grade stakes and work with grade checkers, lasers, or GPS systems to maintain correct grade and alignment. Work closely with crew members using hand signals and verbal communication to coordinate work and maintain safe operations. Keep equipment clean, organized, and prepared for transport when needed. Perform daily inspections, lubrication, fluid checks, and basic maintenance to ensure the screed remains in safe working condition. Notify mechanics when additional maintenance or repairs are required. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe jobsite environment. Follow supervisor instructions and complete tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Work Environment:
Work outdoors in all weather conditions. Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Regularly work extended or overtime hours depending on project workload. Travel required throughout Central & Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and the Eastern Dakotas. What we

OSHA/MSHA
considerations. Ability to follow directions, work in a team environment, and communicate effectively. Mechanical aptitude for routine equipment maintenance. Strong work ethic and reliability in fast-paced field environments. Willingness to travel as needed and work long or irregular hours during the construction season.
