Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Asphalt Paver Operator to join our civil infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating paving equipment to lay asphalt surfaces efficiently and safely across various construction projects. Your expertise in heavy machinery operation, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety regulations will ensure high-quality paving results that meet project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to infrastructure development while working on dynamic construction sites. Duties Operate asphalt pavers and paving equipment, including screeds, to lay asphalt with precision and consistency. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of paving machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with the preparation of construction sites by managing equipment such as loaders, excavators, and dump trucks. Coordinate with crew members to ensure proper placement of bituminous materials, concrete, and other paving components. Follow safety protocols and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations diligently during all phases of paving operations. Support concrete pouring, finishing, and forming activities as needed on the project site. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, materials delivered, and work performed for project documentation. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and heavy equipment operation. Experience with paving equipment operation, including screeds and asphalt pavers. Knowledge of bituminous materials, concrete mixing, pumping, and finishing techniques. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, quantities, and material estimates. Familiarity with safety regulations, including DOT standards and construction site safety protocols. Skilled in working on construction projects within civil infrastructure roles involving concrete forming and rebar installation. Valid commercial truck driving license with experience operating dump trucks or other commercial vehicles preferred. Proficient in construction site experience with concrete finishing, concrete pumping, loader operation, excavator use, and equipment maintenance.
