Overview Join our dynamic team as an Asphalt Paving and Sealcoating Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in transforming outdoor surfaces with precision and expertise. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of paving projects, ensuring smooth, durable, and visually appealing asphalt surfaces. Your skills will directly contribute to the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of commercial and residential properties. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and asphalt pavers to prepare and lay asphalt surfaces efficiently. Mix and pour concrete using mixers and concrete pumping equipment for related paving projects. Perform sealcoating applications to protect asphalt surfaces from weather and wear, enhancing longevity. Assist with rebar installation and concrete forming to support foundational work for paving projects. Conduct surface finishing tasks including concrete finishing to achieve smooth, professional results. Maintain construction site safety by adhering to protocols and ensuring proper use of machinery and tools. Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including loading materials with dump trucks and commercial vehicles. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders, excavators, and dump trucks. Knowledge of paving techniques, sealcoating processes, and concrete finishing methods. Ability to operate a concrete mixer, concrete pump, and other related machinery safely and effectively. Familiarity with construction site procedures, including rebar installation, concrete forming, and site cleanup. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is preferred for operating commercial vehicles. Prior experience working on construction sites with exposure to asphalt paving or sealcoating projects is highly desirable.
