Grading Labor

Staffworks Group is seeking Grading Laborers for Jacksonville, NC. Performs general labor duties on an asphalt paving or grading crew, including acting as a spotter for trucks and equipment when trained. First Shift $17.00 an hour Key Responsibilities Perform physical labor tasks on grading or paving crews Shovel materials such as dirt, stone, or asphalt Use hand and power tools, including: Shovel, rake, broom, lute Pick, hammer, saw, drill, tamp Assist with grading operations and site preparation Serve as a spotter for trucks and heavy equipment (after training) Maintain safe work practices and follow instructions on job sites Equipment & Tools Used Hand tools (rakes, shovels, brooms, picks) Power tools (drills, pneumatic hammers, concrete saws) May occasionally operate small equipment (ex: tractor with broom attachment) Physical Requirements Heavy lifting (often 25-100 lbs ) Constant standing, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting Long hours (often 10-15 hour shifts ) Work in extreme heat or cold conditions Qualifications Experience preferred (around 1 year ) but not required Will train the right candidate Ability to follow safety rules and work as part of a crew Reliable attendance and willingness to work nights/weekends if needed #swggreer
