This position is responsible for managing field crews, coordinating equipment and materials, maintaining production and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong paving knowledge who can effectively manage a crew, solve problems in the field, and keep projects moving. Responsibilities Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews on daily projects. Plan and coordinate daily paving operations, including manpower, equipment, trucking, and materials. Direct crew members and clearly communicate daily expectations and assignments. Oversee operation of pavers, rollers, skid steers, loaders, and other paving equipment. Ensure proper paving techniques, grades, depths, joints, compaction, and overall finished quality. Monitor asphalt delivery and production to maintain an efficient paving operation. Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, trucking, plants, and other field personnel. Read and understand project plans, specifications, grades, and job requirements. Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and downtime. Maintain a safe, organized jobsite and enforce company safety policies and procedures. Conduct daily crew meetings and communicate jobsite hazards and expectations. Track daily production, manpower, equipment, and job progress as required. Inspect equipment and report maintenance or repair needs. Hold crew members accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and attendance. Lead by example and maintain a professional working environment. Qualifications 3+ years of asphalt paving experience preferred , with previous Foreman or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of asphalt paving operations, equipment, grading, compaction, and finishing. Ability to effectively lead and manage a paving crew. Strong understanding of jobsite safety and construction practices. Ability to read plans, specifications, and grades. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment and adapt to changing job conditions. Valid driver's license required. CDL preferred but not required. Must be dependable and available for early mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as project schedules require.
