Assistant Superintendent Job Description We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to collaborate closely with the Paving Superintendent in managing projects efficiently. The role involves participating in job costing and budgeting, assisting paving foremen in meeting project expectations, performing jobsite layout, meeting with customers to coordinate upcoming work, assisting with job scheduling and workforce planning, and developing quality control systems. Responsibilities Work directly with the Paving Superintendent to manage projects effectively. Participate in job costing and budgeting. Assist paving foremen in understanding project bids and meeting job expectations. Perform jobsite layout prior to crew arrival. Meet with customers to review and coordinate upcoming work. Assist with job scheduling and workforce planning. Develop and implement quality control systems. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in construction management, heavy civil, or a related field. Strong background in paving and site development. Experience with project scheduling and subcontractor management. Proficiency in job costing and budgeting processes. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Understanding of asphalt paving operations. Experience in concrete construction and land development. Ability to work overtime as required. Work Environment The role involves working at jobsites in the field from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr. Paid vacation and sick time - Full benefits package including, Health insurance, Dental insurance, Vision coverage, Life insurance, 401(k) Pension/Profit Sharing Plan Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Hudson,NY.
