This position is responsible for obtaining asphalt core samples from roadways, parking lots, and construction projects to support quality control and compliance testing. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, can operate hand and power tools safely, and is committed to delivering accurate results in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Obtain asphalt core samples from paved surfaces using core drilling equipment. Assist with measuring pavement thickness and documenting sample locations. Transport samples to the laboratory for testing and analysis. Maintain accurate field reports, sample logs, and project documentation. Operate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on drilling and sampling equipment. Follow project specifications, company procedures, and safety protocols. Communicate professionally with contractors, inspectors, project managers, and team members. Assist with other construction materials testing activities as needed. Travel to various job sites throughout the service area. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Comfortable working around construction equipment and active roadways. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. Previous construction, asphalt, drilling, or materials testing experience is preferred but not required. #
