Job Overview:

W.A. Petrakis Contracting is seeking a dependable Laborer/Luteman to join our team. The Asphalt Laborer/Luteman will be responsible in assisting the crew with general labor duties to include but limit to, raking/luting, shoveling, sealing, smoothing and any other general support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general labor duties as assigned by supervisor. Use hand tools and power tools to shovel, rake, and compact asphalt. Assist with loading and unloading of materials. Assist in operation of equipment required to install asphalt. Follow all safety protocols and procedures. Communicate with Crew and supervisors.

Qualifications:

Experience as a laborer/luteman or similar role required Ability to safely lift a min. of 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Flexibility to work varied shifts. Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools OSHA 10 required/OSHA 30 preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Other Job Skills :

Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor paving quality. Raking and Luting Good communication skills to work effectively with the crew and supervisors. Knowledge of construction site safety practices. Run screw on side of paver We promote a Drug-Free Workplace. All applicants are subject to a drug test & background check. CDL Drivers will require an MVR from PennDOT.

$25.00 - $56.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
