Asphalt Paving Machine Operator Full-Time | Construction | Local Projects We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Machine Operator to join our growing construction team. This hands-on role is critical to delivering high-quality paving projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. What You'll Do Operate asphalt paving machines to apply asphalt on roadways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces Operate milling machines as required by the project Work closely with foremen and crew members to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient paving operations Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs Read and interpret construction plans, grades, and elevations Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times Assist with general labor duties as needed to support the crew What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience operating asphalt paving equipment Solid understanding of asphalt paving methods and equipment operation Ability to read blueprints, check elevations, and follow job specifications Basic math skills for measurements and layout Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Certification in asphalt paving or a related field Experience operating multiple types of paving and milling equipment Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and minor repairs Previous experience working on municipal, commercial, or roadway projects Work Environment & Schedule Typical hours: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak paving season Job sites are located within a one-hour radius of the shop Employees report directly to the assigned job site Must be comfortable performing both equipment operation and general labor tasks Why Join Our Team? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irwin, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
