JOB DESCRIPTION

For over 30 years, Palm Trees Ltd has specialized in commercial and residential palm installations throughout the greater Charleston area. We are currently seeking an experienced Crew Chief / Tractor Operator to join our team. In this role, every day is a new adventure! This person will haul palms on an open flatbed, operate heavy machinery, and manage a crew, while any downtime will focus on general farm maintenance and completing odd jobs on the property as assigned. A CDL and being mechanically inclined are strongly preferred. This role reports daily to our Johns Island location.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

CDL strongly preferred Must be 21+ with valid drivers license Must have experience in operating a truck & trailer and heavy machinery Related experience in construction, agriculture and/or mechanical repair are a plus Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to take instruction and deliver instruction to crew members effectively Experience and/or a willingness to learn operating front load tractors Ability to interpret blueprints to guide crew members accordingly on site A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new assignments upon request are required and more important than experience Physical strength is required On the job training will be provided

Hourly based on experience

6:30/7am-4pm (M-F), plus overtime
