Job Description

Start date -Immediately to 14 days Start as a laborer with a chance to move up The ideal candidate must able to be reliable and follow instructions. Asphalt experience is a plus Potential to move into operating one of the following Tracked Caterpillar Pavers (AP1055, AP655, AP255) Paver Screeds Caterpillar Rollers (Pneumatic and twin steel faced) Caterpillar Skidsteers Tack Distributor Truck Handwork when necessary Training and paving education is available Benefits of working for Johner paving Mostly Monday to Friday (Weekends as needed but not consistent).
Standard construction hours:
8+ daily, weather dependent. Be part of a small, family oriented company. The following is a list of essential duties that the successful candidates will be expected to fulfill: Follow the directions and instructions of the paving foreman/crew leader. Follow all company safety protocols. Use hand tools such as lutes, shovels, packers, etc, when necessary. Operate machinery safely and properly (rollers/paver/skidsteer/broom/etc) Other tasks assigned The ideal candidates will possess the following traits: Be dependable and reliable. Willingness to learn and be trained. Willingness to take constructive feedback and learn from mistakes. Desire to improve and advance on the crew and in the company. Physical demands of the job Stand and work for 8+ hours a day Withstand and be able to work in loud construction environments. Be able to sit on and operate machines for several hours without stopping. Be able to withstand vibrations from machinery for several hours without stopping. Be able to lift 50+ pounds. Be able to climb on and off machinery unassisted. Be able to walk, crouch, kneel, etc without assistance.
