Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Asphalt Paver Operator and play a vital role in delivering high-quality paving projects that enhance infrastructure and community development. In this energetic role, you will operate and maintain paving equipment, ensuring smooth asphalt application while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help us build durable roads, parking lots, and other civil infrastructure with precision and efficiency. Duties Operate asphalt pavers, screeds, and related paving equipment to lay asphalt surfaces according to project plans and specifications Maintain and perform routine inspections on paving machinery, including mechanical components, screeds, and augers, ensuring optimal performance Assist with the preparation of construction sites by setting up equipment, checking grade levels, and ensuring proper alignment for paving operations Monitor the flow of bituminous materials from trucks to ensure consistent asphalt delivery and proper compaction during paving Follow safety regulations and protocols, including DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, to maintain a safe work environment on site Coordinate with crew members for concrete pouring, concrete pumping, rebar installation, and other related tasks as needed on civil infrastructure projects Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, material quantities, and leveling to ensure accurate paving results Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as asphalt pavers, loaders, concrete mixers, and other paving equipment Knowledge of construction site procedures including concrete forming, rebar installation, and working with bituminous materials Familiarity with safety regulations specific to heavy equipment operation and civil infrastructure projects Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently Prior work experience in construction projects involving asphalt paving, concrete work, or similar civil infrastructure roles Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to highway construction and paving standards Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control during paving operations Join us in building lasting infrastructure that shapes communities!
