At ProEdge Painting Company, we are a residential and commercial painting company serving clients throughout Northern Vermont. As our company continues to grow, we are looking to add Lead Abatement Workers to our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with painting, construction, renovation, or related hands-on experience who is interested in learning a specialized trade and building a long-term career with a company that values quality work and professional growth. We are looking for motivated and dependable Lead Abatement Workers to assist with lead-safe and lead abatement projects. This role involves hands-on work in residential and commercial settings, including job site preparation, containment setup, surface preparation, cleanup, and other abatement-related tasks under proper supervision. Some painting, construction, or renovation experience is required, but prior lead abatement certification is not required. For candidates who do not already have the certification, ProEdge will cover the cost of the required training/certification. This position is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to grow their skills, learn a valuable specialty, and be part of a team that takes safety and quality seriously.

Responsibilities:

Assist with lead-safe and lead abatement work on residential and commercial projects Set up containment areas and job site protection as directed Prepare surfaces using approved lead-safe methods Assist with scraping, sanding, removal, repair, priming, painting, and cleanup as needed Follow all company safety procedures and lead-safe work practices Wear required PPE and use tools and equipment properly Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe Help protect client homes, businesses, and surrounding areas during projects Communicate respectfully with supervisors, team members, and clients Follow direction from licensed/certified supervisors and crew leads Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and proper disposal procedures

What We're Looking For:

Reliability and punctuality Strong attention to detail and care for doing the job correctly A safety-focused mindset and willingness to follow procedures closely Someone who works well with others A positive attitude and strong work ethic Interest in learning a specialized skill within the painting/construction industry Comfort with physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working on ladders as needed

Qualifications:

Some painting, construction, renovation, or related hands-on experience required Lead abatement certification is a plus, but not required Willingness to complete certification/training if not already certified Valid driver's license required Reliable personal transportation required Ability to work safely on residential and commercial job sites Ability to follow lead-safe procedures, safety guidelines, and supervisor direction
