Job Overview Join Appalachian Excavation, LLC as a Foreman/Operator and become a vital part of our construction and infrastructure projects. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and other machinery to perform grading, digging, lifting, and material transport tasks. Assist with clearing, grubbing, and burning for property preparation. Includes use of hand tools and need to be proficient with chainsaw use and safety. Conduct routine inspections of equipment before use to ensure safety and operational readiness Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations and report any hazards or malfunctions immediately Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational logs Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman or Operator. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance Experience operating excavators, skid steers, dump trucks, and hand tools. Familiarity with construction materials and processes related to homesite prep, utilities, earthmoving projects, and reclamation. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely. Manage laborers and maintain a sense of urgency for all projects Preferred qualifications include experience with excavators and skid steers of various sizes. A large portion of our jobs are for land prep, utility install, grading, and pad construction for homes. The ability to work alone with minimal supervision is a must. Communication is key. A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork is essential for success in this energetic role.

PAY IS BASED ON PROVEN EXPERIENCE

with at least 5 years as a Foreman/Excavator Operator.
