Based out of Rutherfordton, NC (Travel Required) NS Carolina Storage, Inc. is an authorized dealer for CST Industries, specializing in the construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation of glass-fused-to-steel storage tanks for municipal and industrial clients across the United States. We are a growing, hands-on company that values safety, quality workmanship, and team accountability. Our crews travel to job sites to build and service critical infrastructure that communities rely on every day. Position Summary NS Carolina Storage Systems is seeking a motivated and dependable Tank Builder / Crew Member to join our field team. This role involves hands-on construction, repair, and maintenance of storage tanks at various job sites. This is a physically demanding position that requires travel, mechanical ability, and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities Assist in the construction and assembly of bolted storage tanks Perform tank repairs, resealing, and component replacements Operate hand tools and construction equipment safely Work at heights using lifts, scaffolding, and ladders Follow all safety procedures and job site requirements Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment Travel to job sites (often out of state) and stay overnight as needed Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and safely Qualifications Construction or mechanical experience preferred (but not required) Ability to use hand and power tools Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Ability to stand, climb, kneel, and work in physically demanding conditions Comfortable working in various weather conditions Ability to work at heights Work Schedule & Travel Full-time position Frequent travel required (including out-of-state) Overnight stays common (hotel accommodations provided when applicable) Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project needs Compensation & Benefits Ability to be hired on as employee after successful introductory period Prevailing wage opportunities on qualifying projects Health, dental, and life insurance options upon hire 401(k) eligibility after 1 year of hire Paid holidays after hire Vacation and personal time after hire Uniform allowance after hire Opportunities for growth and advancement Requirements of Employment Pre-employment drug screening Physical / fit-for-duty evaluation Safety training (First Aid / CPR may be required) Compliance with all company safety policies Why Work With Us Work on meaningful infrastructure projects Opportunities to travel and gain unique experience Hands-on, team-oriented environment Clear path for advancement into leadership roles
