EXPERIENCED CHIMNEY TECHNICIAN / MASON - CONSTRUCTION

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Chimney Technician / Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring chimneys, fireplaces, and related masonry structures with precision and expertise. Your craftsmanship will ensure safe, durable, and aesthetically pleasing results for a variety of residential and commercial projects. Duties Construct, rebuild, repair, and restore residential chimneys, fireplaces, and masonry structures Perform chimney rebuilds, repointing, crown construction, and masonry repairs using brick, block, stone, and mortar Safely operate hand tools and power tools commonly used in masonry and chimney work Set forms, install reinforcement as needed, and perform concrete and crown finishing to professional standards Assist with job assessments , material measurements, and scope evaluation for residential projects Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and to company quality standards Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites at all times Follow industry best practices, safety procedures, and job-specific requirements Qualifications This position is open to current Connecticut residents only. Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in masonry, bricklaying, or chimney work Proven experience with chimney installations, rebuilds, concrete work, repointing, and restoration Skilled with masonry hand tools (trowels, levels, chisels, hammers) and power tools Experience working on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs in a safe and controlled manner Strong understanding of proper masonry techniques and attention to detail Ability to follow job instructions, measurements, and site direction accurately Safety-minded, dependable, and professional at all times Valid, clean Connecticut driver's license required OSHA certification or additional trade certifications are a plus
