Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry work across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. Your expertise in building durable structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other materials will contribute to the successful completion of projects that meet safety standards and client specifications. Duties Interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications. Construct and repair walls, facades, arches, walkways, and other structures using brick, stone, concrete blocks, and related materials. Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming and finishing to ensure structural integrity. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and lay masonry units. Build masonry scaffolds as needed for elevated work areas while adhering to safety protocols. Perform mortar work including mixing, applying, and finishing mortar joints with precision. Assist in renovation and restoration projects by matching existing masonry styles and techniques. Skills Extensive experience with concrete masonry, bricklaying, stone masonry, and stucco application. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans. Proficiency in construction estimating for material quantities and project timelines. Knowledge of building material installation techniques including metal stud framing and caulking. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers, as well as power tools like saws and drills. Experience with heavy equipment operation relevant to masonry work when necessary. Familiarity with safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment. Ability to interpret blueprint specifications accurately for precise execution of tasks. Experience with tile laying, plastering, trim carpentry, welding, metal stud framing, and lightweight restoration work is a plus.
