In this role, you will be the cornerstone of building durable, high-quality masonry structures that meet precise specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of large-scale commercial developments, ensuring safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship at every stage. Duties Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry work according to specifications. Construct, install, and repair brick, block, stone, and other masonry units using appropriate techniques and materials. Prepare surfaces by applying mortar, plastering, or other binding agents to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality. Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming and finishing to support structural integrity. Build masonry scaffolding safely to access high or difficult areas while adhering to all safety protocols. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment efficiently to complete tasks with precision and safety. Collaborate with project teams including carpenters, masons, and site managers to ensure timely project progression and quality standards are met. Requirements Proven experience in concrete masonry work, bricklaying, stone masonry, or related construction roles within commercial projects. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and blueprint specification interpretation. Skilled in rebar installation, concrete finishing, plastering, stucco application, drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, tile laying, and renovation work. Familiarity with building material installation including mortar work and masonry scaffold building. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment safely and effectively on construction sites. Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence at all times. Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical plans and collaborating with team members. Physical ability to perform demanding labor including lifting heavy materials and working at heights. Relevant certifications in construction safety (such as OSHA) are preferred but not mandatory.
