In this role, you will assist skilled masons in building, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. Your energy and commitment will contribute to high-quality craftsmanship on a variety of projects, from new construction to renovation and restoration efforts. Duties Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including setting up scaffolding and layout according to blueprints and schematics Support brick masons with laying bricks, stones, and concrete blocks accurately following blueprint specifications Mix mortar and concrete ensuring proper consistency for various masonry applications Handle hand tools and power tools safely for cutting, shaping, and installing building materials Help with rebar installation and concrete forming to ensure structural integrity of projects Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris regularly Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards Experience Prior construction experience or apprenticeship in masonry or related trades preferred Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics Hands-on experience with masonry tools such as trowels, chisels, mixers, and saws Knowledge of construction estimating, renovation techniques, and building material installation beneficial Experience working with concrete finishing, stucco application, plastering, or tile laying is a plus Ability to interpret construction plans and schematics accurately for precise execution Understanding of safety procedures related to masonry work, scaffold building, and site operations Join us if you're eager to build a career in masonry!
