Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason specializing in Restoration projects to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring and repairing historic and existing structures, ensuring craftsmanship excellence and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help bring buildings back to their former glory through precise masonry work, contributing to preservation and renovation efforts. Duties Install rebar and build concrete forms for structural reinforcement during restoration processes Perform stone masonry, bricklaying, stucco, plastering, and tile laying with precision and craftsmanship Apply concrete finishing techniques including pouring, smoothing, and curing to meet project specifications Construct masonry scaffolds safely and efficiently to access work areas at various heights Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing building materials Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a secure work environment on construction sites Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements Assist in building metal stud framing, drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, and roofing as needed for restoration projects Support renovation efforts by installing building materials accurately while adhering to design specifications Skills Extensive experience in concrete masonry and restoration techniques with a strong portfolio of past projects Proficiency in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, mortar work, and stone masonry with attention to detail Knowledge of building material installation including bricklaying, stucco, drywall, tile laying, and roofing systems Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers; power tools including saws and drills safely and efficiently Experience with masonry scaffold building for safe access during high or complex work areas Familiarity with safety protocols specific to construction sites involving restoration activities Strong understanding of construction plans and schematics relevant to restoration projects Ability to interpret blueprint specifications accurately for precise execution of tasks Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving on-site Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship and restoration!
