Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Brick Mason to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing durable and aesthetically pleasing brick, stone, and concrete structures that enhance our clients' landscapes. Your expertise will help bring creative visions to life while adhering to safety standards and technical specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and restoration work. Duties Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry projects. Build and install brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other building materials with precision using hand tools and power tools. Perform concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation for various structures such as patios, walls, and foundations. Execute mortar work with skillful application for bricklaying and stone masonry to ensure stability and visual appeal. Construct masonry scaffolding safely for elevated or complex projects while following all safety protocols. Install hardscape features including fire pits, water features, pathways, and retaining walls that meet design specifications. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials, tools, and debris during each phase of construction. Qualifications Proven experience in masonry work with a strong background in bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete masonry, and restoration projects. Skilled in construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans. Proficient with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels; power tools including saws and drills; heavy equipment operation; welding; drywall installation; caulking; trim carpentry; roofing; stucco application; metal stud framing; tile laying; and construction site safety procedures. Knowledge of building material installation techniques including mortar work and concrete finishing. Ability to interpret blueprint specifications accurately and execute projects accordingly. Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements quickly.
