Overview Join our dynamic team as a Chimney Technician and become a vital part of ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable chimney and venting systems for our valued clients. In this energetic role, you will perform inspections, installations, repairs, and maintenance of chimneys, fireplaces, and venting systems. Your expertise will help improve indoor air quality, prevent fire hazards, and enhance the overall safety of residential and commercial properties. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your construction skills in a specialized trade that combines craftsmanship with safety compliance. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of chimneys, fireplaces, and venting systems to identify issues such as blockages, damage, or code violations. Install new chimney components including liners, caps, dampers, and masonry structures using hand tools and power tools. Perform repairs and maintenance on existing systems, including rebar installation, masonry work, and sealing to ensure longevity and safety. Use heavy equipment and scaffolding safely for high or complex installations while adhering to all safety protocols. Apply masonry skills such as bricklaying, stone masonry, stucco application, and mortar work to restore or enhance chimney structures. Document work progress with detailed reports and communicate effectively with clients about project scope and safety procedures. Requirements Proven construction experience with skills in masonry, concrete finishing, framing carpentry, roofing, or restoration projects. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, scaffolding building, and safety protocol adherence. Knowledge of building material installation including bricklaying, stone masonry, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and tile laying. Ability to interpret construction plans and schematics accurately for precise project execution. Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction sites and working at heights or in confined spaces. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in renovation or restoration projects involving chimney or venting systems. Valid experience in construction site management or supervision is a plus but not required.
