In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of masonry tasks that contribute to the successful completion of building projects. Your expertise in handling concrete, brick, stone, and other building materials will help us deliver high-quality structures that meet safety standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to restoration and renovation efforts, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship to make a tangible impact. Responsibilities Interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute masonry work according to project specifications. Prepare and lay bricks, blocks, stones, and other masonry units with precision using hand tools and power tools. Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming and finishing to ensure structural integrity. Execute mortar work, including mixing, applying, and finishing mortar joints for durability and aesthetic appeal. Build masonry scaffolding safely around work areas and operate heavy equipment as needed for material handling. Perform plastering, stucco application, tile laying, and other building material installation tasks to enhance project quality. Follow safety protocols diligently on construction sites to maintain a secure working environment at all times. Experience Proven masonry experience with a strong background in concrete masonry units (CMUs), stone masonry, bricklaying, and related trades. Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics. Hands-on experience with concrete finishing techniques including pouring, smoothing, and curing processes. Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete forming procedures, and mortar work is essential. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, scaffolding structures, and welding equipment safely. Previous involvement in renovation projects or restoration work is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocols specific to construction sites involving masonry activities.
