Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting surgical teams by utilizing your expertise as a Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist. This contract opportunity offers the chance to directly impact patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST, NBSTSA or NCCT). Proven experience assisting in surgical procedures within an operating room setting. Proficiency in preparing operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring proper instrument counts before and after procedures. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and strong attention to maintaining a sterile field. Ability to anticipate needs of the surgical team and adapt swiftly in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities. CPR/BLS certification required; additional advanced life support certifications a plus.

Contract position; specific schedule details provided during interview.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up surgical instruments and equipment prior to procedures. Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments and supplies during operations. Monitor and maintain sterile environments throughout the surgical process. Ensure accurate instrument counts and manage specimens as directed. Support patient safety and infection prevention standards at all times. Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other staff to facilitate seamless operations.
