The ideal candidate will have experience in stone masonry, bricklaying, and block work, as well as the ability to build scaffolding when needed. This role involves performing various masonry tasks with precision and teamwork to ensure high-quality construction projects. The Masonry Worker will be responsible for laying stone, brick, and block materials, as well as applying stucco and veneer finishes, all while following safety protocols and project specifications. Duties Perform stone masonry work, including laying stone, brick, and block with accuracy and craftsmanship. Construct and dismantle masonry scaffolding as required for access and safety during construction activities. Follow project plans and instructions from the foreman to ensure proper placement and alignment of materials. Collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely. Listen attentively to the foreman's directions and communicate any issues or concerns promptly. Prepare surfaces and materials before installation, including mixing mortar or other bonding agents. Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations on-site. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Skills Proven experience in laying brick, block, or stone masonry; ability to demonstrate this experience is required. Knowledge of masonry scaffold building is preferred. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to listen carefully to instructions from supervisors. Attention to detail and craftsmanship in masonry work. Ability to read and interpret construction plans or specifications related to masonry projects. Good physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. Commitment to safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
