Job Description
Job Title:
Brick Mason Job Description We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team responsible for constructing new buildings on Site R. Your expertise will be essential in laying and installing architectural blocks and concrete masonry units (CMU) according to detailed project specifications and construction drawings. Responsibilities Lay and install 4-inch wood-face architectural block and 8-inch gray concrete masonry units as per project specifications and construction drawings. Construct interior and exterior masonry walls, partitions, and structural block assemblies. Spread mortar and accurately position blocks while maintaining required bond patterns, plumbness, levelness, and alignment. Install reinforcing steel, grout, anchors, ties, control joints, and other masonry accessories as required. Cut and fit masonry units using hand and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, elevations, and masonry details. Measure and mark work areas to ensure proper wall dimensions and placement. Perform tuck pointing, joint tooling, and finishing work to specified architectural standards. Essential Skills Proficiency in masonry, brick laying, and new construction techniques. 2+ years of experience in brick or block masonry. Experience with architectural block, split-face block, wood-face block, and standard gray CMU. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of masonry tools, materials, and installation methods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet. Experience with stonemasonry, mixing, construction, and both power and hand tools. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, currently 8-hour days with a possibility of extending to 10-hour days. The role requires frequent lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.85 - $40.85/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
