Journeyman Brick Layer

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Brick Layer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry in a refinery. 3 - 7 years of proven Journeyman Brick Laying experience Approximately 3 weeks or 7 - 12s Pay is commensurate with experience Responsibilities Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units with precision, ensuring alignment and levelness according to project specifications and blueprints. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine project requirements and layout plans. Prepare surfaces by applying plastering, stucco, or caulking to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality. Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming to support structural integrity during construction or renovation projects. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and efficiently to complete masonry tasks. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, metal stud framers, and other tradespeople to coordinate activities on-site for seamless project execution. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills Extensive experience in construction site environments with a strong background in masonry work. Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques and tile laying for various applications. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks. Skilled in concrete forming, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and scaffolding systems. Knowledge of renovation processes including restoration work and structural repairs. Understanding of construction estimating principles for material needs and project timelines. Competence in welding or metal stud framing is a plus; excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential for success.
