Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Mason to join our construction and landscaping team. The Mason will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing a variety of masonry and hardscape features, including retaining walls, patios, walkways, stone veneers, concrete structures, chimneys, fireplaces and other landscape and construction elements. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates excellence in their craft, and consistently delivers high-quality results while working safely and efficiently to complete projects to the highest standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Construct and install retaining walls, patios, walkways, steps, fire pits, and other hardscape features. Lay brick, block, natural stone, veneer stone, and concrete pavers according to project specifications. Mix and apply mortar, grout, concrete, and other masonry materials. Perform site preparation, excavation, grading, and base installation for hardscape projects. Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and landscape plans. Measure and cut masonry materials to fit project requirements. Ensure all work is completed accurately and meets company quality standards. Repair and restore existing masonry structures and hardscape features. Operate construction equipment and power tools such as skid steers, compactors, concrete saws, and mixers. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with crew members, foremen, and project managers to complete projects on schedule. Assist with general construction and landscaping tasks as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 5 years of masonry, hardscape, or related construction experience. Knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools. Ability to read plans, sketches, and construction specifications. Experience working with brick, block, stone, pavers, and concrete. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience in residential and commercial hardscape construction. Knowledge of retaining wall systems and drainage installation. Ability to operate skid steers, excavators, and other construction equipment. OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour Certification. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor including bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Manual dexterity to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Work Environment Outdoor construction and landscaping job sites. Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, dirt, noise, and construction materials. Work around heavy equipment, power tools, excavation areas, and active construction zones.
Compensation and Benefits Compensation:
$30-35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Overtime opportunities when available. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid time off and company holidays. Retirement plan with company match. Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) shares after meeting participation requirements.
