Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. This role involves handling manual transmissions and performing truck loading and unloading duties, with seasonal variations such as operating dump trucks in the summer and propane delivery in the winter. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills, attention to safety, and the ability to adapt to different seasonal requirements and hold a valid hazmat and tanker endorsement. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, over designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely, ensuring proper handling of goods. Transport materials such as dump truck loads during summer months and propane deliveries in winter as required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit. Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on the road or at loading/unloading sites. Assist with seasonal operational tasks related to dump truck operations or propane delivery as needed. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazmat and tanker endorsement and a clean driving record. Proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks, particularly with manual transmissions. Ability to perform truck loading and unloading tasks efficiently. Physical capability to handle cargo loading/unloading processes; able to work in various weather conditions. Flexibility to operate seasonal equipment such as dump trucks in summer and propane delivery trucks in winter. Strong attention to safety procedures and regulations. Excellent communication skills and reliability in meeting delivery deadlines. Ability to adapt quickly to different operational demands based on seasonal requirements.
