Carpenter Handyman with Drywall Experience

Expectations:

• Responds to maintenance requests or completes projects from various vendors/clients as directed by supervisors or crew leads.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems to determine appropriate solutions; handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for potential issues that proper maintenance can prevent; communicates issues to appropriate personnel.
• Follows local and state building codes; complies with all company safety regulations.
• Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports; accurately tracks time and materials used on projects.
• Loads and unloads equipment, materials, and tools into work vehicles as needed; maintains a clean, organized work area and company vehicle.
• Follows written and verbal instructions from supervisors and crew leads.
• Collaborates with supervisors, crew leads and other contractors as needed.
• Reads and follows manuals and other written instructions; installs equipment and appliances.
• Utilizes and maintains company equipment and inventory, including (but not limited to) vehicles, power tools, hand tools, materials, and storage areas.

Experience +

Skillset:

• Relevant experience in a handyman/residential repair/property maintenance role
• Working knowledge of carpentry, building infrastructure, and/or electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and conflict resolution
• Valid driver's license
