This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, bringing craftsmanship and hands-on expertise to every task. As a key member of our crew, you will assist in building, repairing, and restoring structures using a wide range of tools and techniques. Your energy, attention to detail, and dedication will contribute directly to delivering high-quality results for our clients. This paid position provides valuable experience in both carpentry and general labor, fostering growth and skill development in a fast-paced environment. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects. Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble materials. Assist with framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, siding, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and other residential carpentry tasks. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks such as concrete forming, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, and mold remediation. Support fabrication of custom fixtures or components on-site or in the shop using woodworking machinery. Install fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinetry, siding panels, and other building components with precision. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and tools while adhering to safety protocols including power tool safety standards. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret construction plans accurately. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings for various construction projects. Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws for woodworking) with a focus on safety. Experience with residential carpentry including framing, trim work, flooring installation, tile laying, and fixture hanging. Familiarity with wood construction materials such as lumber, plywood, siding materials; knowledge of metal stud framing is a plus. Ability to operate woodworking machines safely while maintaining quality standards. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of site safety procedures; ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Competence in interpreting technical drawings for remodeling or restoration projects; experience with plastering or stucco application is advantageous. Knowledge of rebar installation for concrete forms; experience with caulking or siding installation enhances versatility. Capable of handling handyman tasks including minor repairs or fixture installation; experience in mold remediation or restoration projects is beneficial.
