Residential Remodeling Working Foreman / Lead Carpenter This is a
HANDS-ON
construction position. If your experience is primarily supervising subcontractors and you are no longer regularly working with tools, this is not the position for you. Are you an experienced residential builder who can lead the job AND do the work ? Do you take pride in craftsmanship, notice when something isn't right, and take ownership of getting it corrected? Are you comfortable framing a wall, installing doors and trim, repairing drywall, completing punch work, troubleshooting field conditions—and then turning around and coordinating subcontractors to keep the project moving? If so, we'd like to talk with you. A-Team Construction is a family-owned general contractor specializing in high-end residential remodeling . We're growing and looking for an experienced Working Foreman / Lead Carpenter to join our field team. This Is a Working Foreman Position Our Foremen don't just stand on the jobsite and supervise. Depending on the project and the day, you may: Perform hands-on carpentry and general construction work Complete demolition, repairs, punch work, and miscellaneous field tasks Direct and coordinate subcontractors Check subcontractor work for quality and completeness Read plans and determine how work should be executed Coordinate with the Project Manager on schedule, materials, and field needs Troubleshoot unexpected conditions Keep the project moving when something doesn't go according to plan Some days you'll spend more time coordinating trades. Other days you'll have your tool belt on most of the day. You need to be comfortable doing both. What We're Looking For We're looking for a well-rounded residential construction professional with strong carpentry skills and significant hands-on remodeling experience . You should have experience with several of the following: Framing and general carpentry Finish carpentry, doors, base, and trim Cabinetry and installation Drywall installation and repair Demolition Tile and general finish work Residential repairs and punch work General remodeling and renovation Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and other residential trades You don't need to be a master of every trade. You'll Be a
Great Fit If You:
Have significant hands-on residential remodeling or custom home experience Are a skilled carpenter and comfortable working with tools every day Can read plans and understand construction details Can lead work in the field while also working alongside the team Are comfortable directing and coordinating subcontractors Recognize poor workmanship and make sure it gets corrected Can troubleshoot field problems and find practical solutions Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do Communicate problems, delays, and material needs before they become emergencies Take ownership of your projects and follow through Care about details and don't accept "good enough" What Ownership Means at A-Team If something isn't right, you address it. If a subcontractor's work doesn't meet our standards, you make sure it gets corrected. If something will affect the schedule, you communicate it early. If you need materials, information, manpower, or a decision to keep moving, you speak up. And when you tell us something is complete, we should be able to trust that it's actually complete . We don't expect you to solve every problem alone. We do expect you to recognize problems, communicate them honestly, and take an active role in finding solutions.
