Job Description

Carpenter Training Partners offers training to develop work readiness and carpentry skills for anyone interested in learning the foundations of residential and commercial construction. Our program increases individual marketability in the workforce and provides networking opportunities to secure employment. CTP services Los Angeles County, including the Antelope Valley, and Orange County. The program includes a 1-month course titled, Foundations in Construction." Students continue with 15 weeks of hands-on training. After graduating from the program, CTP continuously supports each student's employment goal. The ideal candidate possesses experience working as a framer and finish carpenter, has reliable transportation and teaching experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
Take steps to ensure the safety of the learning community. Execute lesson plan as directed by the Director. Collaborate with other trainers to measure the progress of students. Take accurate attendance. Come to class prepared with all PPE, including CTP apparel, boots, hard hat, safety goggles, and gloves. Support the mission and vision of Carpenter Training Partners. Prep before classes and clean up the training site after class. Report any injuries (if they occur) Be punctual and ready to teach. The recommendation is to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of class. Make sure that all tools and equipment are accounted for before and after class.
