In this role, you will be responsible for transforming detailed construction plans into high-quality, finished woodwork and structural components. Your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and construction techniques will ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on residential and restoration projects, utilizing your craftsmanship and technical skills to bring building visions to life. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install a variety of wood and other construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Perform framing, trim carpentry, siding installation, door hanging, flooring installation, and fixture mounting with precision. Operate woodworking machines safely to produce custom wood components for residential projects or restoration work. Assist with plastering, stucco application, rebar installation, caulking, mold remediation, and other finishing tasks as needed. Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to power tool safety protocols on active construction sites. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure construction plans are executed accurately and efficiently. Heavy experience in Cabinet installs and fine cuts for cabinetry. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, framing carpentry, and residential carpentry projects. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels as well as power tools including drills, saws, sanders for woodworking. Strong understanding of wood construction materials and the use of woodworking machines. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety procedures related to power tools and heavy lifting. Familiarity with restoration industry practices including mold remediation and rebar installation is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship in remodeling or repair projects.
