Job Description
Lead Residential Remodeling Carpenter — 30-40 Hours Per Week Iconic Builds LLC is seeking an experienced residential remodeling carpenter for steady part-time to full-time work. This position is expected to average at least 30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours depending on the project schedule. We are a growing residential construction company performing remodels, additions, exterior repairs, framing, stairs and landings, siding, trim, fireplace-related construction, drywall repairs, built-ins, and general property improvements. This is not an entry-level laborer position. We need someone who can work independently, make good field decisions, maintain professional workmanship, and help guide less-experienced crew members. Primary Responsibilities Perform wood framing, structural repairs, and general carpentry Build stairs, landings, decks, walls, roofs, and small additions Install exterior siding, fascia, soffit, window trim, door trim, and flashing Install doors, windows, baseboards, cabinets, shelving, and finish trim Complete demolition, drywall repair, caulking, and punch-list work Read plans, take accurate measurements, and lay out work Identify needed materials and prepare jobsite material lists Recognize construction problems and communicate solutions Direct one or two helpers when the owner is working elsewhere Keep jobsites clean, safe, and organized Communicate professionally with customers and other crew members Protect customer property and company tools Required Experience and Qualifications At least 5 years of hands-on residential construction or remodeling experience preferred Strong experience in framing and finish carpentry Able to complete assigned work with limited supervision Comfortable performing both structural and detailed finish work Knowledge of proper flashing, weatherproofing, and exterior installation practices Able to safely use power tools, ladders, and construction equipment Able to lift and carry construction materials Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Dependable, punctual, professional, and drug-free on the jobsite Must have a working phone and communicate consistently Experience with fireplace framing, hearth construction, siding, roofing repairs, drywall, tile, or masonry is a plus. Plumbing, electrical, or gas work should only be performed when properly qualified and specifically authorized. Schedule Minimum of approximately 30 hours per week Primarily weekday daytime work Project locations are generally in Auburn, Colfax, Applegate, and surrounding areas Occasional longer days may be available when required by the project Ideal Candidate The ideal person is a well-rounded remodel carpenter who can be given a scope of work, review the job with the owner, and then carry that work through to completion. We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, solves problems, works efficiently, and wants a dependable long-term position with a growing company. Compensation will be based on demonstrated experience, productivity, reliability, leadership ability, and available tools.
Pay:
